What bayonet to be fitted on your rifle ?
In this section, the site of “International Bayonet Association” proposes to you an important collection of photographs where each bayonet will be associated with the long arms, or with the handguns they fit on. For some bayonets, the photographs will be easy to show, for others, due to the rarity of the bayonet, rifle or of the handgun, the illustration will be more delicate.
It is our, your responsibility to make this section living. Without any firearm, no bayonet.
We will have period photographs as well, as photographs made by the members.
This section is capital, because it’s the only one which can make possible to advance knowledge, the period techniques as well as materials, determining the mode of fitting, the dimensions...
Do not hesitate to ask if you have some questions, if you have a firearm and that you looking for the bayonet which must be fitted on. Be precise, with supporting photographs and appropriate measurements.
All the questions are to be asked in the “Discussion Place”, the answers will be posted in the present section, which will be thus enriched each time.
