An unknown bayonet, close to the romanian Model 1879. (Gazette 17 - Article 6)

In the Gazette n° 14 page 14/20 is depicted a Romanian epee-bayonet model 1879 Martiny-Peabody and, to complete this article, I describe here a bayonet similar to the M/1879 but differing from the Romanian bayonet by three differences:
* The push-button have lost his flat spring replaced by an inner coil spring similar to the Austrian Model 1873 or German 1884.
* The maker’s mark is no more”Steyr-1883-OE WG” but the knight’s helmet of W.R.Kirschbaum & Cie from Solingen.
* The Romanian M1879 epee-bayonets are all stamped with a stylized eagle upon a “P” and have a serial number as “R 4206” added to the Steyr Austrian maker’s stamp...
