This is a very interesting bayonet that I described briefly in my book, “Collecting Bayonets”. If you saw this weapon on a table, you would think at first that it is the very common Spanish M1941 Machete bayonet that we see frequently at a cheap price at arms fairs and militaria shows. But when you look at it carefully, you will quickly notice that it the blade is longer and the entire weapon is much heavier than the ordinary m1941.You will note the obvious differences in my photos which show this rare bayonet beside a standard m1941 for naval use. This Prototype bayonet has not been mentioned in Spanish publications and only two examples are known to me.
