The yataghan blade style became very popular in bayonet design and was produced and used by many nations over a period of sixty-four years. This blade presents a continuous curved edge, far superior in cutting ability than a straight edge. Yet, the recurved effect of this shape aligns the point of the blade with the long axis of the hilt to promote efficiency when thrusting. |
