Articles of the Gazette Pics from the whole world. (Gazette 14 - Article 10)
Today, I’ll begin with this photograph of Turkmen guards issued with old SKS1956 rifles from the old stocks of the Soviet Army. The strictness of the uniforms, the marching style using the same goose step used in the old German Army look as already seen before. This attitude actually looks like some mixing of a Soviet parade and a Chinese one.
Funny, isn’t it? Another thing, many photos are depicting bayonets pictured on monumental buildings, some dedicated to battles other to heroes.
The first one is located in ISMAILIA. It is a memorial dedicated to the Egyptian soldiers killed during the war against Israel in 1973. It was unveiled on October 5, 1992, on the east bank of the Suez Canal. This memorial 71.50 meters high is a huge and stylized bayonet AK style of which the blade shines in the noon sun.
