Articles of the Gazette Fakes and copies, any style.... (Gazette 15 - Article 13)
The last page of Gazette vol.14 presents a German styled bayonet with saw teeth ground on the spine. This bayonet is very close from the Brazilian Model 1935 bayonet of which two are shown on the opposite photograph.
Numbers 278 and 6342 are stamped on the crossguards and are similar to the number 1510 on the fake photographied on the Gazette. Both bayonets, very similar to this fake have quite same dimensions.
I bought them in France between 1976 and 1978. The stud mortise on the pommel is 29 mm long and 41.5 on the fake. There are no maker’s marks and so on the scabbard....
Other else, we alsio may speak about frogs, fakes and copies....
