Articles of the Gazette A spanish civil war (Gazette 17 - Article 8)
Some times ago I bought at a low price on E.Bay a Spanish bayonet of the M1893 style whose appearance was very intriguing. Actually this bayonet seemed made without a ricasso and the blade fullers were ground until the crossguard.
When I received this bayonet, I was more intrigued. You can judge by yourselves.
It was a Model 1913 (long blade) of which the blade was shortened and welded close to the crossguard. All the details were those of the M1913, pommel shape, wood grips roughly checkered and held by two screws with washers, sale shape of the crossguard.
Only the blade had been reworked...
