Fakes and use ! (Gazette 19 - Article 7)

Since the very beginning of our Association, we try to bring the copies and fakes any time we can. Copies are usually easy to identify the only risk being in a close future and with some ageing they will look like authentic pieces.
About the fakes, it’s more subtle and often they are the work of people wanting to give to a more or less common bayonet the aspect, the shape of a rarer model to increase its value at a low cost.
Very often the young collectors are the victims as they have not enough knowledge to find the traps sometimes subtle of the crooks. For this one the trap is coarse...
